I've review a great many of my co-worker' books and articles and, as best I can make reference to, they all say that refusing to determine win/loss boundaries is one of the single worst things you can do. I contest--in some measure.

let's say you begin your four-day vacation by betting at your first craps session. let's say your win/loss aim is to bow out of the game if you lose your $100 buy-in or if yougo $150 ahead. right after you buy-in, the table goes crazy with a blistering hot roll. The hurler throws for essentially an hour and not having a 7-out. You hold back your screaming, jumping up and down, hugging, and kissing to tally your chips. Whoa, you're $900 ahead! The player at long last rolls a 7-out. Now what? you have achieved six times your initial win goal. Do you quit? If so, how long do you bow out? Do you bow out totally and not bet the rest of your trip? If you quit, what will you do in the time that you planned to play craps?

If real money were my appeal, I wouldn't have spent $1,200 for two airplane tickets to Vegas, $700 for a hotel room, $500 (maybe more) for food, $500 for my wife's massages, and $1,000 (probably more) for my girlfriend's shopping spree. It does not add up. If all I think about is money in the bank, I would have kept loads of it by staying at home. As long as I'm succeeding, I'm participating in craps. The only time I drop out is after I've spent my buy-in money for a particular game. Then, when it is time to commence the next session, I dump one more buy-in allotment on the table and start having fun once again.
